  RIVER RAFTING

Floating and paddling in an inflatable rubber raft or white water kayak down a rushing river is exhilarating when the water is boiling with white foam. Waves and swirling rapids make for great excitement. Nepal, where rivers comes thundering out of the mighty Himalaya, is earning a reputation for many hair raising white water river runs. Such a trip may be the highlight of your stay in the country. Rivers are graded on a scale of one to six, with one being a swimming pool and six a one-way ticket to your maker! Four is considered to be quite challenging without being exceedingly dangerous to novice rafter. A five river requires some previous river experience. Some popular rafting trips follow.
